João José d’Albuquerque F. Almeida
Software Coder & Localizer
After 9 years of GW-BASIC and COBOL, developing custom tailored applications/add-ons for local software resellers, I got into localization in 1994 invited by former Lexitrans (Madrid) starting as member of the Portuguese Microsoft Office 95 Localization team. Three years later, I traveled to Microsoft (Dublin) for Windows 98 In-house Localization (accepting contract renewal for Windows 2000 Localization too). Since then I've been working on a freelance basis, improving localization skills and techniques, working for several important translation companies.
